Wow, I can hardly believe that I’ve been home from our trip to California for almost a week. In that time we cleaned the house top to bottom, cooked a bunch, threw a birthday party for Jesse, and relaxed. It just doesn’t feel like it’s been a week already. I still need to write up a post about our trip and the party. But first, our menu plan for the upcoming week…
Monday, April 4:
Lunch — Macaroni & cheese.
Dinner — Jambalaya and corn muffins.
Tuesday, April 5:
I think we’re still on for our usual playgroup. Looking forward to it!
Lunch — Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, fruit leftover from the party.
Dinner — Meatballs (a slightly revised recipe, so good!), mashed potatoes, carrots
Wednesday, April 6:
Bible study in the morning. I’m loving my Wisdom for Mothers class. The lessons are great and the fellowship is really wonderful. If only I could keep up on the homework…
Lunch — Lemon Garlic Parmesan Pasta with chicken and bacon.
Dinner — Beef Stew in the crock pot and warm apples.
This will be the third week of Mark Gungor’s Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar that our church has been putting on. The sanctuary has been packed with people enjoying it and I look forward to it each week. So far I’ve been attending without Jason because he’s finishing up his last month on the night shift, but come the first week of May he’ll be coming along with me.
Thursday, April 7:
Poor Jesse has to go to the doctor for his 1-year well baby check-up. I hope he doesn’t need too many shots.
Lunch — Chicken Pot Pie Soup.
Dinner — Cheese enchiladas and brown rice.
