Menu Plan – December 2009

This month’s menu plan was easy. Jason’s gone for the first two weeks, so I can skimp on recipes a little to save money. Then he’s home for a week before we’re gone for the last two weeks to spend the holidays with our families in California.

Sunday, 20th – Saturday, January 2nd: Driving cross-country & holidays in California!

Thanksgiving at our house last week was really great. I still have leftover turkey and mashed potatoes which we’ll probably polish off for lunch soon. I took some photos of our table with all of the food spread out. Every single thing on the table was homemade except for the cranberry and apple sauces. That was a big undertaking for a girl who’s never made a full Thanksgiving meal before, but Jason helped a lot and we pulled it all together. Our meal was delicious and I was so happy.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and is looking forward to really wonderful Christmas and New Year’s holidays. I’m excited to see all of our family & friends again in a few weeks!
